Description
Smooth aromatic heather and honey sweetness, Dalwhinnie Distillers Edition is a welcoming Highland single malt.
Each Distillers Edition expression undergoes a second (or double) maturation in casks that have previously held a fortified wine.
Its sweetness makes it a great accompaniment to desserts such as creme brulee. A very different taste to other malts which makes this Distillers Edition an ideal gift for lovers of Dalwhinnie and rich Highland single malt whiskies. Distilled 2005 and bottled 2020.
Serving Suggestion: A lot of Dalwhinnie’s more ardent fans suggest that you serve this dram straight from the freezer - ice cold without dilution - and then notice how the whisky slowly “blooms” in the glass as it warms.
Distillery: Dalwhinnie
, Scotland
Dalwhinnie Distillery stands in the Cairngorm National Park at the heart of the Scottish Highlands in the village of Dalwhinnie.
Built in 1897 and currently the highest distillery in the country, Dalwhinnie – or “Plain of Meetings” in Gaelic – is named for its location at a junction of old drove roads, between two mountain ranges.
Year after year it survives the coldest of conditions to produce smooth, golden heather honey-like spirit.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Lovers of Dalwhinnie will appreciate the way the fragrance of Oloroso sherry overlays but does not mask, the heather honey distillery notes.
Palate: You will experience a big, spicy buzz, with very clear, well-defined malt. A quick burst of sweetness is then rich and grapey.
Finish: Expect tons of oak for the finish. Very, very dry, with vanilla dominating.
