Description
Dalwhinnie is derived from the Gaelic word for 'meeting place'. Built originally at the crossroads of cattle-drovers trails, it is now near the junction of the A9 to Inverness and the A889 to Fort William.
Peat and fresh water are in abundance in this area with the main water source the loch at Doire-Uaine.
The distillery at Dalwhinnie is the highest in Scotland situated at just over 1000 feet!
Jim Murray awarded this Dalwhinnie a score of 95 points in his Whisky Bible, making this whisky excellent value for money.
Elegant, smooth and medium-bodied, this Dalwhinnie part of Diageo's Classic Malt range!

Distillery: Dalwhinnie
, Scotland
Dalwhinnie Distillery stands in the Cairngorm National Park at the heart of the Scottish Highlands in the village of Dalwhinnie.
Built in 1897 and currently the highest distillery in the country, Dalwhinnie – or “Plain of Meetings” in Gaelic – is named for its location at a junction of old drove roads, between two mountain ranges.
Year after year it survives the coldest of conditions to produce smooth, golden heather honey-like spirit.
