Highland Park Magnus Series Set of 3 - 3x70cl

This magnificent Highland Park Magnus collection is encomprised by three limited bottlings made to celebrate the Viking history and the Nordic heritage of the Orkney Isles, with the distillery being established by Magnus Eunson in 1798.

The first edition, Earl Magnus, was released in 2009 and celebrates the life of Earl Magnus, born in 1075 when Orkney belonged to Norway. This 15 year old Highland Park is comprised of selected casks including some from the 1990's, bringing extra depth and character to the liquid. A natural cask strength of 52.6%, this is one of just 5,976 bottles.

The second bottling was released in September 2010 and it celebrates Saint Magnus, one of the 6 canonised Norsemen born in the 11th and 12th Century. The liquid is 12 year old and was bottled at the natural cask strength of 55%, from casks laid down in 1998 and before, with only 11,994 bottles.

The third and final edition of the series was released in July 2011, and it marks Earl Haakon, the violent ancient ruler of Orkney, whom incidently ordered the death of his cousin Magnus in callous circumstances. In reflection to the darker nature of this edition, the liquid was matured in ex sherry casks and presented in a black bottle and wooden box. This is an 18 year old bottled at the natural strength of 54.9% with only 3,300 releases, making it the rarest out of the three!
