Finite quantities of Tomintoul 12 Year Old spend a generous period of time maturing in Oloroso Sherry butts. This process of “Finishing” imparts to the whisky creamy attributes with hints of Sherry sweetness. Pure ingredients and the natural environment add to smooth and mellow character of this award-winning Tomintoul Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky, “the gentle dram”. As always from the Tomintoul distillery, the 12 Year Old is fantastic value! 

Tasting Notes


Nose: Quite light and well-balanced, there are notes of chewy oak with a toasty feel, notes of sherried peels, sultanas, cut hay and malt extract.Palate: Medium-bodied with notes of winter berries, blackcurrant preserve, notes of gentle smoke with a malt extract, crisp barley sugar, toasty cereals and a soft honey.Finish: Medium-length and well-balanced with a refined subtlety.
