The Cask Strength Edition is Tomatin;s most vivacious expression, yet still retains Tomatin’s characteristically rich and sweet undertones.
Matured in a classic combination of first fill ex-Bourbon and ex-Oloroso Sherry casks, aromas of golden syrup and ginger biscuits prevail while flavours of malt loaf and marzipan lead to a dry, lingering spicy finish.
With their range growing more and more, the only way is up for the Highland distillery and this 5cl miniature gives a great introduction into what the Cask Strength Edition has to offer!
Tasting Notes
Nose: Refreshing ice-cream drizzled with delicious caramel and walnuts, before Seville orange, red berries and a touch of warmth from pepper.
Palate: Ginger, green apple and a touch of seaside air. Sweet chocolate and cooking spices, growing intense on the mid-palate.
Finish: Lasting notes of vanilla and fudge.
