Speyside Single Malts are Single Malt Scotch Whiskies that have been distilled in Strathspey, the area around the River Spey in Moray, Badenoch, and Strathspey in the North Eastern part of Scotland. Popular distilleries in the Speyside region include Macallan, a heavily sought-after brand of which in April 2018 two bottles of 60-Year-Old from 1926 achieved an auction price of $1.2m. Speyside is home to over half of Scotland’s whisky distilleries meaning it has the highest concentration of whisky producers in all of Scotland’s regions.
