Description
Sheep Dip is what used to be referred to as a vatted malt which refers to a blend of malt whiskies with no grain element from different distilleries.
Crafted by Richard Paterson of Whyte & Mackay, the malts used are aged between 8 and 12 years old and are from good quality first-fill casks.
The peculiar name comes from a time when farmers hid their home made whisky from nosey excise officers in barrels marked “Sheep Dip”.
Winner of the Gold award – International Wine & Spirit Competition 2004, 2005.
