An old bottle of Queen Anne Rare Scotch Whisky, bottled by Hill, Thomson & Co. Ltd. 70 proof.
A 1950s bottling of this well known blend which is appointed to His Majest the King, now becoming increasingly hard to find.
The name comes from Queen Anne of Great Britain and Ireland, who was in power in 1707 when England and Scotland were united as a single sovereign state.
Please note as this is a vintage bottle, conditions of bottle/label and liquid level can vary - Some years can vary as estimations only (example: estimated 1970s/80s). - Please note condition of lot as shown including broken paper seal however the bottle does not seem to have been opened.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Quite grainy with refreshing tropical fruits, think pineapple. This is combined with a touch of black pepper and walnuts.
Palate: Salt and pepper with a touch of spice as some malt sweetness lingers.
Finish: Medium finish that gets quite dry.
