Description
Nuits St Georges is harvested by hand with a very severe sorting.
The vinification starts with 5 days of low temperature maceration followed fermentation with native yeasts and without temperature control which allows the expression of the soil and promotes the complexity of the wine.
Maturation lasts at least 18 months in oak barrels before bottling.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Deep ruby red.
Nose: Relatively discreet and floral with hints of spice as well as delicious red and black fruits. Palate: Well structured, this is a fantastic wine which is able to grow old with beautiful material of these tannins. Best served with roasted red meat, meat sauce (veal tournedos with mushrooms), small game (duck with pears) and also cheeses. A superb, hedonistic mouthful of crushed raspberry and cherry fruit, with underlying vegetal, spice notes and balanced tannins. A traditional old world gem.
