Description
Released annually to coincide with Lagavulin’s sponsorship of the Islay Jazz Festival, this particular release had production issues and didn't appear until long after the Festival had finished.
Produced from hand selected refill American oak casks and European oak bodega casks, those sherry casks are the dominant player in this one!
Limited edition, each bottle is individually numbered with this edition bottle number 1256.
Please note this is just a single bottle and comes without any packaging.
Distillery: Lagavulin
Isle of Islay, Scotland
Sat between Ardbeg and Laphroaig on the south coast of Islay, Lagavulin has a history of disagreements and lawsuits. Founded in 1816, a year after Laphroaig, it has been in fierce competition with its nearest neighbour ever since.
Lagavulin Distillery is thought to be one of the longest established distilleries in the country.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Offers red fruits, apricots, honey, all in addition to salt and smoke. Palate: Plenty of sherry influence on the palate as well, with nuttiness and more plums and dark red fruits. Finish: Pepper and spice factor in on the finish, as smoke and peat return as well. Smooth, long and big finish.
