Description
King Car distillery is located in Yilan County, Taiwan and the single malt whisky produced there is named after the indigenous people who originally inhabited the northeastern corner of the island - the Kavalan.
Having only operated since 2005 they have wowed the world with this, their young yet full flavoured whisky which concentrates on their signature flavours of tropical fruit.
This Kavalan Single Malt Whisky, for example was awarded a Gold Medal at the 2011 International Wine & Spirits Competition.

Kavalan sources the mineral-rich meltwaters of Snow Mountain and is aged in a unique combination of intense heat and humidity together with sea and mountain breezes.
All this combines to create the quality, smoothness, and fruity character for which Kavalan is known.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Fragrant and tropical with floral notes, vanilla and mango - signature flavours.
Palate: Mango throughout the palate as well as spicy barley, gentle oak and creamy richness.
Finish: A touch of allspice, vanilla and fragrant pear skin linger.
