Description
Limited Edition Bottle no. 185/1400
This superb whisky from Glenrothes, was named after their outgoing malt master John Ramsay, with a release of only 1400 bottles.
John Ramsey carefully selected twenty second fill American oak casks and vatted them into sherry butts to create this delicious treat. A further two were picked from there to be vatted, and reduced to 46.7% abv, providing this excellent bottling.
It's a perfect tribute, and a truly delicious Glenrothes.

The Glenrothes distillery is in the town of Rothes, in the heart of Speyside.
With no visitors centre, this incredible distillery does not even have a road sign as it is the Glenrothes whisky itself which marks its place.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich, spicy, blood orange marmalade and vanilla. Palate: Superb richness, sweet full flavour with tropical notes, balanced oak and fruit, soft caramelised mango. Finish: Long, smooth finish, mature and tactile, unmistakably American oak.
