Glen Scotia Double Cask whisky is a superb introduction to the Glen Scotia range for whisky explorers. With tastes of toffee and fudge, it’s a perfect demonstration that at Glen Scotia, age is no indication of character.
Matured in first fill bourbon barrels before being finished for 12 months in PX sherry casks, this expression provides an intriguing harmony or rich and spicy fruit flavours, as well as distinctly Campbeltown notes.
Glen Scotia was born in a place like no other - a small town on the west coast of Scotland that was to become the ‘Victorian Whisky Capital of the World’.
The people of Campbeltown are stoic and proud, and our whisky has always had a wonderful way of bringing us together in times of need. Glen Scotia prevailed against the odds where some thirty other local distilleries fell.
Today it stands proudly among the last of the many, by virtue of the community spirit that defines Campbeltown.

Distillery: Glen Scotia
Campbeltown, Scotland
Glen Scotia is one of the smallest Scotch whisky distilleries in Scotland but one of the big names in Campbeltown's illustrious past — with a story beginning in the 19th century.
To date, the distillery still maintains much of its original design, including the fermenters, stillroom, and dunnage warehouse dating from the 1830s.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Vibrant fruit of peach flesh and apple peels firstly emerges followed by chewy fudge and a just a hint of oak-y spice.
Palate: Opens with yet more delicious fudge with a little dusting of powdered sugar. Subtly oily and a touch herbaceous to round the fantastic palate experience off.
Finish: Sherried notes come through rounding the fantastic finish off.
