Description
Another excellent example of superb marrying of casks from Dalmore, carefully watched over by their Master Distiller.
The 2022 release of Dalmore was distilled on the 20th November 1991 and filled into American white oak ex-bourbon casks.
It was later finished for 2 years in Port pipes, which previously held Graham's 1982 Single Harvest Tawny Port, before bottling for release in 2022.
The result is a single malt bursting with notes of forest fruits, plums, dark chocolate, a hint of orange and a deep rich finish with notes of brioche and wood spices.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Evokes plums, caramel-coated apples, moist gingerbread, Morello cherries, and freshly baked brioche.
Palate: On the palate, expect notes of dark berries and cherries and of course, port wine.
Finish: The finish carries hints of coffee, liquorice, citrus and chocolate.
