Description
Released as the second in a five part sherry series from Springbank distillery in Campbeltown.
Distilled in July 2013, it underwent a unique maturation process. Initially, it spent six years in refill bourbon barrels, followed by a further four years in freshly made Palo Cortado hogsheads crafted from American oak.
In September 2023, this meticulously aged whisky was bottled.
A limited run of just 10,200 bottles, presented at 55% abv.
Limited to 1 per customer.
Tasting Notes
Nose: There are notes of parma violets, buttercream icing and peaches on the nose, along with hints of cola and grated ginger.
Palate: Soft peat smoke comes through on the palate, complemented by notes of red velvet cake, strawberry laces and icing sugar.
Finish: There is a waxiness in the finish with notes of orange rind and the continuation of the peat smoke.
