The Auchentoshan Three Wood is a Lowland single malt matured in 3 different casks, namely: Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks, bourbon casks and Oloroso Sherry.
A new design for this Auchentoshan, the iconic and unique Auchentoshan bottle will not change its shape and will remain the same easy to handle bottle.
Established in 1823, Auchentoshan triple distils every drop meaning the spirit produced reaches 81.5% ABV, significantly higher than most distilleries in Scotland.
The lightness of the liquid enables it to absorb every characteristic it is exposed to in the cask. It is this smooth distillate paired with the carefully selected oak casks that gives Auchentoshan an unmistakably light and fruity flavour.

Auchentoshan new make spirit is the highest distillate produced by any Single Malt distillery in Scotland.
Because we distill away all the impurities in the liquid, strong notes of fruit and citrus come through.
It also makes the spirit more prone to the epic woodiness that comes from the casks in maturation.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Blackcurrant, brown sugar, orange, plum and raisin.
Palate: Fruit and syrup. Hazelnut with hints of cinnamon and lemon. A butterscotch sweetness adds to the overall complexity.
Finish: Fresh and fruity, with long lasting oaky sweetness.
