Description

The Macallan 18 Year Old Sherry Oak is a fine expression of this Speyside single malt Scotch whisky. The Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Years Old forms part of our Sherry Oak range which features a series of single malt whiskies matured exclusively in hand-picked sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez for richness and complexity. A full bodied palate of mature oak, ginger and raisin flavours is complimented by a light mahogany natural colour.   Its extended ageing makes it very smooth with notes of ginger, dried fruits, wood smoke and sweet toffee.   Here you`ll find the 2022 release.

Tasting Notes


Nose: Dried fruits and ginger with hints of vanilla and cinnamon. Palate: Soft and rich, with hints of spice, clove, orange and toasted matured oak. Finish: Lingering with dried fruits, ginger and orange zest.

Only time will tell if I open this bottle. Macallan have never let me down and I doubt they ever could. This more of an addition to my collection rather than for drinking. I give it marks based on presentation, delivery, and promptness.
