Description
Glendronach Cask Strength Batch 12, the very last release from the Highland distillery's much-loved Cask Strength series.
Bottled at a robust 58.2% abv, the liquid was held in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks before being decanted.
The whisky is bottled straight from the cask without any dilution, allowing it to retain its natural strength and intensity.
This release is all natural colour and non chill filtered to allow for a richer and fuller flavour profile.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich mocha and creamy cappucino meld with orange and raisin filled fruit cake, cherry liqueur and sandalwood.
Palate: A voluptuous swathe of velvety spice reveals dark chocolate tiramisu topped with flamed seville orange peel, toasted almond and crystallized ginger.
Finish: The lingering finale of amaretto-laced mocha, morello cherry and sultana on indulgent caramelised crème brulée.
