Laphroaig 10 Year Old 40% – Aged for ten years, and distilled following the traditions laid down over the last 200 years by a succession of passionate and skilled master distillers. This is a truly classic single malt Scotch, made from malted barley which is first cold-smoked and then dried over a peat fire. This 10 Year truly embodies the quintessential Laphroaig character.
Laphroaig Quarter Cask 48% – Matured twice in American oak, Laphroaig Quarter Cask presents an irresistible doubling of flavour. Because the second maturation takes place in smaller, quarter-sized casks, the spirit has more contact with wood. Laphroaig Quarter Cask begins its maturation in ex-bourbon barrels and, while still aging, is transferred to small quarter casks. It should be enjoyed alone, over ice or with a splash of water to fully pay tribute to the unique flavour.
Laphroaig Lore 48% – Created using techniques that have been passed down for generations, this single malt Scotch is made from some of the most precious whiskies in Laphroaig’s Atlantic storehouse. Master Distillers select spirits from five different cask types, including ex-Bourbon barrels, 19th Century-style quarter casks and large Oloroso sherry butts. Serve neat, or over ice.

Tasting Notes
Laphroaig 10 Year Old:
Nose: Opens on big, smoky muscular peat notes. There are spices, and liquorice, as well as a big dose of salt. Over recent years this whisky has become slightly sweeter and beautiful on the nose.
Palate: Seaweed-led, with a hint of vanilla ice cream.The oak is big, and muscles its way into the fore as you hold this whisky over your tongue. An upsurge of spices develop – cardamom/black pepper/chilli.
Finish: Big and drying, as the savoury, tarry notes build up with an iodine complexity.
Laphroaig Quarter Cask:
Nose: Burning embers of peat. Oily and buttery with toffee, nuttiness, hickory, bicarbonate of soda before final hints of coconut and banana aromas.
Palate: Deep, complex and smoky yet still manages to surprise the palate with a gentle sweetness.
Finish: Long. Dries appropriately with a nice helping of smoke and spice.
Laphroaig Lore:
Nose: Rich and smoky with seaside minerals and a hint of ash and bitter chocolate drops. This is then followed by vanilla with unroasted chestnuts and a hint of fudge with a malty sweetness to it.
Palate: Richly peaty with a warming chilli bite.
Finish: The warming chilli bite offers a short, dry finish and a long sweet aftertaste.
