Description
Despite being owned by blenders, MacDonald & Muir, for most of the 20th century, Glenmorangie had an early focus on bottling its single malt.
Some records show that its single malt was being sold as early as the late 19th century. This became the distillery's main output in 1959, and with the unique flavours derived from Scotland's tallest stills, coupled with their pioneering use of wood finishing, Glenmorangie is now one of the world's biggest selling malts.
As a result, the distillery portfolio over the years has been extensive, and little has been spared for independent bottlers.
This is an older bottling of the best-selling 10 year old. Proof that you don't fix what isn't broken, the packaging barely changed for nearly four decades before being rebranded as The Original in the relaunch of the core range in 2007.
There are two different designs on the bottle, this will be a lucky dip selection with images of both provided.
Please note as this is a vintage bottle, conditions of bottle/label and liquid level can vary - The years are estimations only (example: estimated 1970s/80s).
Distillery: Glenmorangie
Tain, Scotland
By the tranquil shores of the Dornoch Firth, amidst the golden barley fields of Ross-shire, lies the Glenmorangie Distillery.
The house style of the Glenmorangie distillery is described as particularly floral, light and mild due, at least in part, to the enormous hight of the copper still.

Tasting Notes
A fruity aroma - present are rich notes of lemon, nectarine and apple with a nice warming spice.
Overall taste is refreshing and very well balanced with yet more spice as well as vanilla with a relatively long finish offering a gentle malt and more delicious fruits.
