Tamdhu was born in 1897, on the banks of the River Spey. Now, as then, every drop is crafted with the same care – starting with water drawn from our own spring. In 1898 our founders created another Tamdhu tradition, securing a first precious shipment of sherry casks. Today, Tamdhu matures exclusively in the finest Oloroso sherry casks, nothing less.
This scarce wood bears two great gifts: colour and taste. Tamdhu’s deep amber is developed by the cask, nothing more – and each drop owes its rich, complex taste to the wood it called home. A magnificent Speyside Single Malt for the sherry wood connoisseur – and recipient of numerous international gold medals.

Tasting Notes
Tamdhu 12 Year Old
Nose: Rich and enticing; iced cinnamon rolls, orange boiled sweets, fresh sweet oak with raisins and a faint hint of mint.
Palate: Silky texture that coats the mouth with banana, berry jam, malt biscuit and classic sherry oak depth.
Finish: Pleasantly long and balanced with ground spice, dried fruit and soft Scottish tablet, finally unveiling the merest whisper of peat smoke.
Tamdhu 15 Year Old
Nose: An aromatic array of apple pastry, spiced currants and orange zest, with exotic notes of pineapple and fennel.
Palate: A burst of juicy apricot and vibrant raspberry, with lemon tart and creamy almonds on the palate.
Finish: A rewardingly long journey through warming malt biscuit, cream sherry and vanilla.
Tamdhu Cask Strength Batch 5
Nose: There are aromas of Brazil nuts, cinnamon and the waft of warm vanilla pods.
Palate: Double cream swirled with sharp summer berries envelop the palate. A drop of water reveals citrus notes, oak and freshly baked cookies.
Finish: The finish is warming as the spices swell, yielding to the crisp sweetness of clentine zest.
